One final thought: My parents commented the other night (I think Monday) that they were glad I am not in France this year. But if you look on the map, the closest the riots got to Metz is Nancy. Just as I thought- Metz is the calmest city in France- nothing rocks its boat. I would have been totally interested being there. I still would be even as the roits are apparently quieting down- to see the aftermath and how the government proposes to change things. Besides, it's France, after all.
